To demonstrate my specific work, my work is the warrior helmet, harp, the oil jugs, torches, the vases, and the textures created for these objects. To visually distinguish which work is mine in comparison to my other teammate's work, the room (Mausoleum) in which all my objects are located was created by my team members. The shelf on the left and right were also created by team members. The base on which the warrior helmet is displayed was created by another group member. The stand on which the harp is presented was also created by another group member. The lighting above the torches, the general lighting, the floor texture, shelves, and wall textures were created by my other group members.
The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: The process of creating this image by group members and myself was bringing in my individual objects into Unreal, positioning them in interesting locations in the Mausoleum, connecting the ambient occlusion, normal, base colors, etc. maps, and then applying the material to the objects. Lighting was placed in the scene by my group members. A camera was created by my group members in the sequencer and an image was taken. My thoughts on this image are that this contains many of my objects altogether in the same room. One can see their size and correlation to each other. In this image, the harp was placed on the stand to show it is of great importance like the astrolabe in certain respects.

I created the Astrolabe on display in this image as well as the torches on either side and the textures for them. The stand on which the Astrolabe rests, the room, textures, and lighting were created by my team members.

The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: The main process of creating the astrolabe was using the primitive pipe object, scaling it down, adjusting its thickness and depth, and then duplicating it and rotating it around. I repeated this many times until there were concentric circles. I added a base as well. Then I applied gold and grayish textures in Substance Painter. The unique challenge was keeping the circles inside each other in Maya and deleting unnecessary geometry inside the base. My thoughts on the piece are that I’m really proud of the astrolabe and how it turned out. It represents the wisdom of the ancient good people.

I created the warrior helmet, vase, and oil jug in this image and the textures for them. The remaining items, lighting and textures were created by group members.

The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: I like this image of warrior helmet by the vase and oil jug. The glimmer of light reflects off the top for the helmet just right. These are important decorations that give honor their leader and predecessor. The helmet is of most importance and is therefore in the center of the image.

I created the warrior helmet, vase, and oil jug in this image and the textures for them. The remaining items, floor, room, lighting and textures were created by group members.
The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: The warrior helmet looks great above the coffin in this image. War is looked down upon among the good ancient people but it belonged to their leader and predecessor so the good ancient people have it displayed over the coffin to give respect to their cherished leader. The warrior helmet also represents that the good ancient people believe that war is necessary at times to defend themselves against an attacker.

I created the sundial and textures for it. The lighting and the ground of the planet on which the sundial rests and the pillars nearby and their textures were created by my group members.

The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: My thoughts on this piece are the sundial turned out really well. I’m happy about the textures and form of the clock. It is an instrument used in the ancient world to tell time and is essential to the good race of people who need to keep time on their planet.

I created the spiral twirl above the tree in these images. The remaining objects, their lighting, and textures were all created by my group members (except for the sundial in one image).

The processes or unique challenges or thoughts on the pieces: The process of creating the spiral galaxy twirl was using nodes in Unreal and particle simulations. The unique challenge in creating this image was migrating it over from one Unreal file to another and then placing it just right above the tree. I wasn’t sure if I could take an image of it in the camera sequencer because it is a moving effect as opposed to a static mesh but it turns out that I was able to after all. My thoughts on these pieces are that twirl represents the spiritual significance of the tree. The ethereal rainbow colors emitting from the spiral could represent that the tree is the conduit through which the ancient people connect to the Divine Being.
I must acknowledge and show gratitude to my group members who made major contributions to this project scene. They are:
